VERNISSAGE – MAXIME BALLESTEROS IN
COLLABORATION WITH RUPTLY’S 5 YEARS ANNIVERSARY
ART DIRECTION
Client: Ruptly
Artist: Maxime Ballesteros
Event Manager: Anastasia Strod
Venue: Circle Culture Gallery / Mitte, Berlin

2018 marked five years since Ruptly made its debut on the media landscape. To celebrate, the news agency curated an exhibition with Berlin photographer and subculture darling Maxime Ballesteros, who has taken a series of portraits showcasing the company’s dynamic team.
The photography exhibition “Hintergründe”, featured 18 works by Maxime Ballesteros. The project was dedicated to young international professionals who moved to Berlin from all over the world – from Sweden to Japan, before finding their true home in the German capital.

The Concept:
Bringing ageless and tropical elements, our aim was to create a democratic environment – it could be anytime, anywhere.
The Decor was a nod to Hintergründe’s theme – the ethnical diversity of Ruptly’s workforce.
The pieces were hand-picked taking in consideration the best handling of the available budget.
Choosing to have the portraits speak for themselves while displayed throughout the two main Gallery Rooms, we concentrated the Decor mostly in the Lounge Room, where we also placed the bar.
